How to find a payment in your bank app

आख़िरी बदलाव 3 सितंबर 2026

Open the pending item in your dashboard first. It shows you three things: the amount, the time it was claimed, and the four character code.

Now open your bank app and look for a credit that matches.

What a bank message looks like

Most banks send something close to this.

Rs.500.00 credited to A/C XX4412 UPI/62841/Kulhad 3FWQ on 30-08-26 at 14:12

Three parts matter. The amount. The time. And the text after UPI, which is the note. Kulhad 3FWQ is the code.

The order to check in

  1. The amount. It matches exactly. Kulhad sends whole rupees, so 500 is 500 and never 499.62.
  2. The time. Within a few minutes of the claim. A UPI credit lands in seconds, so anything hours apart is a different payment.
  3. The code, if your bank shows it.

If all three line up, approve. If the amount and the time line up and the code is missing, that is your bank's doing rather than a problem with the payment, and you can still approve.

If your bank does not show the note

Some banks show the note only in the transaction detail inside the app rather than in the message. Tap the transaction and look for a field called remarks, description or narration.

If it is nowhere, stop looking for it and match on amount and time. That is what the vast majority of approvals rest on anyway.

If nothing matches

Do not approve. Leave it. See Somebody says they paid and you cannot find it.
