How to approve or reject a support

Pending is the screen in your dashboard where claimed supports wait. Each row shows the amount, the name and message if they left one, the four character code, and when it was claimed.

Approve

The message goes on your wall. The amount counts towards your goal if you are running one. It joins your supporters list and the spreadsheet you can download.

Approve when you have found the money in your bank.

Reject

Nothing goes on your page and nothing counts. The row is marked rejected and is cleared out a week later.

Reject when the money is not there. It is not an accusation. Payments fail, and somebody who tapped I have paid on a payment their bank refused has done nothing wrong.

Approve but hide the message

There is a third option on each row. It counts the money and keeps the message off your page.

Use it when the payment is real and the message is not something you want on your page. Somebody has still supported you and the total should still say so.

Approving several at once

Premium adds a checkbox on each row and a button to approve everything selected. Useful after a busy weekend. It is the same action, done in one press instead of twenty.

If you do nothing

A claim you never touch is deleted after seven days. A support that was started but never claimed goes after a day. Neither appears on your page and neither counts towards anything.

Turning off the wait

Settings has a switch that publishes a message the moment somebody claims, without waiting for you. You can still reject or hide it afterwards, which takes the money back off the goal. It is worth having only if you have decided that speed matters more to you than accuracy.
