What is Kulhad?

Kulhad gives you one web address, like kulhad.co/yourname. On it are your name, a short bio, a few amounts somebody can pick from, and a QR code that pays your UPI ID.

Somebody who wants to send you money opens that page, picks an amount, writes a message if they want to, and pays from their own UPI app. The money goes from their bank account to yours. It does not pass through Kulhad on the way.

What Kulhad does

  • Shows the page, the amounts and the QR code.
  • Puts a four character code into the payment note so you can tell one payment from another in your bank.
  • Holds the message they wrote until you decide whether it goes on your page.
  • Keeps the list of who sent what, so you can look it up later.

What Kulhad does not do

  • It does not hold your money. There is no balance and nothing to transfer out.
  • It does not take a cut. The amount they send is the amount that lands.
  • It does not know when a payment happens. UPI payments between two people carry no notification back to a third party, so Kulhad is told nothing.

That last one is the part that surprises people, and it decides how the rest works. Because Kulhad is never told, you are the one who checks. Your supporter says they have paid, you look in your own bank app for the amount, and you approve it. Their message goes on your page at that point and not before.

What it costs

Nothing to make a page and nothing on what people send you.

Premium is a separate subscription you pay to Kulhad for extras: your own domain, more than one UPI ID, page stats, themes. It never touches the money your supporters send. See Premium.

Getting going

  1. Claim your page name.
  2. Add your UPI ID.
  3. Send yourself one rupee to check it lands.
  4. Share the link.
