How to post a progress update
Under each goal on the Goals screen is a box for updates. Type up to 280 characters and post.
Updates show on the goal page, newest first, each with the date it was posted.
What to write
What happened. "Ordered the mic today, it arrives Thursday." "We are at half, which pays for the wiring." "It came. Here it is."
Short is better than considered. An update posted the day something happens is worth more than a paragraph written a month later.
When to post
- When the bar passes a point people can feel: a quarter, half, done.
- When you spend the money.
- When the thing you were raising for actually happens.
That last one is the one people skip and the one that matters most. Somebody who gave in March and heard nothing since has no reason to give again in September.
Removing one
Each update has a Remove button. It goes immediately and nobody is told.
What updates do not do
They do not go out as a message to anybody. Kulhad does not have your supporters' addresses in most cases and does not email them. An update is something they see when they come back to the page, so it is worth posting a link to it wherever you already talk to people.
