How it works

Four taps for them. One tap for you.

  1. 1

    They pick an amount

Three amounts and a box for anything else, plus a message.

  2. 2

    Kulhad shows a QR

The reference code is already in the payment note.

  3. 3

They pay and tap "I’ve paid"

Money moves from their bank to yours. Nothing passes through us.

  4. 4

    You check and approve

Match the amount and the code in your bank app, then publish the message.

See the whole flow

No wallet, no float

The money goes to your bank. We never see it.

There is no Kulhad wallet, no float, and nothing to withdraw. Your supporters pay you, not us, and we do not process the payment at all: that is why there is no cut to take, and why the page is free.

Nothing to withdraw

The money is already yours the moment it lands.

We cannot see your account

No bank access, no statements, no balance.

You own your supporters

We never email your audience. Download the list whenever you like.

Approval keeps your page clean

Nothing appears until you say so.

Premium covers the servers. It buys a custom domain, page themes and a few extras, it never touches your money, and the free page stays free whether you buy it or not.

Kulhad sits outside this line

We show the page and the reference code. We hold nothing, and we cannot see your account.

  1. Their UPI app

They scan the QR and pay

  2. Their bank

    Sends the money over UPI

  3. Your bank

It arrives, and it is already yours

Knowing you were paid

Your bank tells you it arrived. Kulhad helps you tell who sent it.

Your bank message already has the amount and the time. What it cannot tell you is which of your supporters that was, so we put something in the payment note that can.

  1. 1

They pick an amount and write a message

Whatever they choose, plus their name if they want to leave one. Nothing is sent yet.

  2. 2

They pay from their own UPI app, with a code attached

Four characters go into the payment note before the QR opens, and travel with the money. Their app shows it; most banks pass it through.

  3. 3

You match it in your bank and approve

The amount and the time are usually enough on their own, in your bank app or your statement. The code settles the one case they cannot: two people sending the same amount minutes apart.

  • the amount, and when it landed
  • the code, for when two look the same

If you have used Buy Me a Coffee or Patreon from India

Both work, and both were built around cards. Your supporter reaches for one, you open a Stripe or PayPal account before you can receive anything, and a percentage of every payment stays behind. None of those three exist over UPI. They pay from the app already on their phone, and it lands in your bank.

The questions people ask before switching

Before anyone can pay you

Elsewhere

  • A credit or debit card, from your supporter
  • A Stripe or PayPal account, from you
  • A percentage of every payment

With Kulhad

  • A UPI ID

Who it is for

For side projects, community funds, shop counters, and plenty more.

Some call it a tip jar, some a donation page, and a shopkeeper just calls it the QR at the counter. Same page underneath.

A QR code for shops, stalls and counters

A printed QR beside the counter, for the regulars who keep saying they owe you a chai. The same code works for a tailor, a salon, a repair shop or a tea stall, and it needs no card machine and no monthly rent.

A support page for developers and open source

The library everyone depends on is maintained on evenings and weekends. Sponsorship elsewhere wants a Stripe account and a company; this wants a UPI ID and a README badge, and the money lands in your bank the same day.

A donation page for causes, trusts and temples

A temple repair, a school trip, a neighbourhood clean-up, a relief drive. One page, one QR, and a wall showing who has chipped in so far, which is the part that makes the next person give.

For creators working in Indian languages

Reels and videos in Hindi, Marathi, Tamil or Bhojpuri reach people no brand deal has noticed yet. Your audience can pay you directly, in rupees, today, and your page reads in the language they think in.

What you get

Small page. Everything you actually need.

Money goes straight to your UPI

Bank to bank, the same day. Kulhad never takes a cut and never holds it in between, because the money is already yours.

A link that is yours

kulhad.co/yourname, or your own domain on Premium. Put it wherever people already look for you.

A wall of thank-yous

Approved messages sit on your page with your replies underneath. It is the part people come back to read.

Goals people watch fill

Set a target for the mic, the trip, the studio month. Supporters see how close it is getting.

A QR you can print

Download it, tape it beside the counter, or stand the printed sheet on a table. It works with no phone in your hand.

One page, three languages

English, हिन्दी and Hinglish. Your supporters read it in the one they think in.

Voice notes, once you approve them

A supporter can leave fifteen seconds of audio. It plays on your page only after you have heard it and said yes.

Your list stays yours

Download every supporter as a spreadsheet whenever you like. We never email your audience.

Questions people actually ask

Do you take a cut?

No. Supporters pay your UPI ID directly, so there is no commission and no gateway fee. You never wait for a payout, because there is nothing for us to pay out.

How do you know someone actually paid?

We do not, and we would rather say so plainly. We cannot see your bank account. That is why you check your own bank app or SMS for the amount and the code, and approve it yourself. Nothing appears on your page until you do.

What if someone taps "I've paid" without paying?

The entry waits in your pending list and you simply do not approve it. Nobody else ever sees it, and it is deleted on its own after a few days.

Do I need a business account, KYC, or anything to accept money legally?

No. Any personal UPI ID works: your bank handle, or GPay, PhonePe, Paytm. It receives money the same way it does when a friend repays you for dinner, and being thanked online changes nothing about that. Keep a record of what arrives, because it is income and it is yours to declare. If it grows to a size your bank treats as business, ask them for a merchant UPI ID and paste it into settings.

Is this like Buy Me a Coffee, and does it work in India?

Same idea, built for here. Rupees, UPI, no cards and no currency conversion, with amounts that make sense in India, like ₹20 rather than $5. The difference that matters is the rail: supporters pay your UPI ID from their own bank app, so there is no commission and nothing to wait for.

What does Premium change?

Your own domain, your branding, more amounts and goals, page stats, approving many at once, and priority support. Every core feature stays free forever.

Can someone outside India support me?

No. UPI is domestic, so a supporter needs an Indian bank account to use it, and there is no way around that from our side. If most of your audience is abroad, a platform built on cards will serve you better than this one, and we would rather say so than take your subscription.

Can someone support me without giving their name?

Yes, and it is the default rather than a setting to hunt for. A name and an email are both optional on your page, and leaving them blank is completely anonymous. If someone does give an address, it is so they can look up what they sent later. You never see it, and we never send anything to it.

Pick your name, add your UPI ID, and that is the whole setup.

Claim your name, add one UPI ID, and that is the whole setup. No card, no waiting list, nothing to install.
